The County of Huron is excite to announced Warden Glen McNeil has been reelected as Chair of the Western Ontario Wardens’ Caucus (WOWC) and Councillor Jim Ginn has been reelected as Chair of the WOWC Economic Development Committee.
Both McNeil and Ginn, along with County of Huron CAO Meighan Wark, were reelected to their positions until January 2025.
Chair McNeil expressed gratitude for the trust and support, highlighting the commitment to advancing priorities like expanding housing options and addressing mental health and addiction issues.
Jim Ginn looks forward to representing Western Ontario and advancing the committee’s objectives.
The reelections took place on February 2nd.
WOWC is a united group in Ontario, representing over 20% of the province’s population. It’s a not-for-profit organization, comprising 15 upper and single-tier municipalities in about 300 communities.
Covering almost half a million square kilometers, mostly rural, it includes over 25,000 kilometers of roads, 3,000 bridges, and 24,000 culverts.
WOWC advocates for member counties on important issues like infrastructure, transportation, long-term care, broadband, and economic development.
