The Huron County Museum invites everyone to the unveiling of a new mural by Anishinaabe artist Jeannette Ladd. Join them on Saturday, March 9th, at 1:00 p.m., to meet the artist and discover the mural in the Museum’s lobby.
Jeannette Ladd, an Anishinaabe-kwe from Saugeen First Nation, expresses her thoughts and experiences through art. The mural reflects her love for Mother Earth, emphasizing the interconnectedness of all living things.
Commissioned by the Museum to highlight local Indigenous culture, the mural aims to foster understanding and appreciation. Prints of Ladd’s art, along with the book “Memengwaa: The Monarch Butterfly,” will be available in the Museum gift shop.
