PA Day at the Library @ 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. It is a P.A. Day at Huron County Library and there are so many things to do at a branch near you! All open branches will have activities for kids throughout the day and of course you can always drop in to check out a new book, borrow a favourite movie, and so much more!
The following branches are hosting the following special activities:
- Bayfield Branch: Get your hands dirty in celebration of Earth Day on April 22! Plant your own beanstalk in this Jack in the Beanstalk-inspired activities. Open to ages 12 and under with adult supervision. This program runs from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and requires registration. Email bayfieldlibrary@huroncounty.ca to register.
- Goderich Branch: Get your hands dirty at the Goderich Branch this PA Day! Celebrate Earth Day (April 22) and plant your own beanstalk in a Jack and the Beanstalk inspired activity. Shallow or Deep Aqua Aerobics @ 8:30 am – 9:15 am. Drop in classes, everyone is welcome no need to sign up.
PA Day Camp @ 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. Calling young astronauts! Join as the Museum launches into space at the next PA Day Camp. We are going to learn about outer space, our solar system, and of course the solar eclipse. Sign up your astronaut today for an out-of-this-world day of crafts, artifacts, and much more at the Huron County Museum!
EarlyON Play and Learn @ 10:00 am – 11:30 am Wingham. EarlyON Child & Family Centre is in the Royal Oaks Building, 271 Frances Street (Parking Lot B Door #1). Join for a variety of activities to enhance all areas of your child’s development, connect with our staff and other families, and end the group with a circle time of songs and a story.

“Hospital-to-Home” Gateway CERH S04E07 Virtual Lecture Series @ 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm. The transition from hospital to home care can be a straining experience for caregivers. It is also the focus of an ongoing research project and this upcoming lecture. Season 4, Episode 7 of Gateway Centre of Excellence in Rural Health (CERH) Virtual Lecture Series event is exploring “Hospital-to-Home Transitional Care Interventions to Support Functioning in Older People in Rural Communities”.
