McDonald’s is gearing up for one of its most anticipated events of the year: McHappy Day. Scheduled for Wednesday (May 8th), this annual event brings communities together in support of Ronald McDonald House Charities across Canada – their largest cause is residences for families that have children undergoing medical treatment
That was Rob Reid, a franchise owner with over 25 years under his belt – he says it’s the most fun day of the year at McDonald’s.
In addition to food and beverage sales, there are various activities planned, including raffles, swag giveaways, and more – all funds raised on McHappy Day go towards supporting families in need.
The community response to McHappy Day has been overwhelmingly positive, and that every year they exceed expectations in terms of money raised.
For Reid and his team, McHappy Day is an opportunity to give back to the community that has supported them – he says he counts himself lucky to live in a community that is so imbued with generosity.
As McHappy Day closes in, McDonald’s locations in Exeter, Mitchell, Grand Bend, Goderich, Kincardine, and Wingham are gearing up for a day of fun and fundraising, all in support of a worthy cause.
