The upcoming 100th anniversary of the Royal Canadian Air Force is being celebrated in Vanastra (previously known as RCAF Station Clinton).
On Saturday, June 8, the town will host a series of events honoring the legacy and contributions of the town to Canada’s air force.
For one day only, the RCAF Clinton Mini-Museum will open its doors at the former A.V.M. Hugh Campbell School – which is now the Fellowship Hall of Vanastra Christian Church.
Attendees will have the opportunity to explore artifacts and stories from the base’s past – including it’s rich history as a top secret radar training facility for the allies in the Second World War.
The 100th anniversary celebration promises to be a memorable occasion, honoring the brave men and women who have served in the Royal Canadian Air Force and highlighting the rich history of the community.
