Today (Wednesday July 17) is Tim Horton’s Camp Day in our listening area and across the country.
All you have to do is visit your local restaurant, purchase certain items, like iced or hot coffee, Camp Day bracelets, or round up your order’s total, and you’ll be making a donation that will help a deserving child go to camp.
Tim Hortons Foundation President Caroline Barham, tells us that the camps let the kids explore who they are.
She adds the camps help youth from low-income families in underserved communities achieve their full potential, while equipping them with the skills they need to design their future.
Barham says lifelong bonds are created between the campers, which is an incredible boost.
The foundation says thanks to the generosity of their customers and dedication of their restaurant owners, operators, and team members, they’ll help thousands of kids get that trip to camp.
Contributing won’t disrupt daily routines for many. Just stop by any Tim Hortons and make a purchase to help send a kid to camp.
