It is myFM’s Local Manufacturing Week Showcase presented by Premium Transportation. Today we are taking a look at Matt Ferguson, of Ferguson Apiaries.
For almost six decades, Bill Ferguson, the founder of Ferguson Apiaries, has been a cornerstone of beekeeping in Huron County, Ontario. His dedication to raising bees has resulted in the production of Buckfast queen bees and nucs, which are highly sought after by beekeepers across both the United States and Canada.
Matt says honey of course, is a huge part of operations, however, honey isn’t the only thing in production at the Apiaries.
At Ferguson Apiaries, honey and wax products are crafted with care, ensuring that every item is handmade and hand-packed with pride at their location. They offer 100% unpasteurized honey made in small batches to guarantee consistent and superior quality.
Matt says one of the best parts of operation is the workers.
Visitors can discover and enjoy the diverse honey varieties produced by Ferguson Apiaries’ bees. Influenced by Canada’s four seasons, their offerings range from naturally created Spring Dandelion honey to the mild Clover honeys of Summer and the distinctive Goldenrod honey of Fall.
