You’ll be able to buy alcohol in corner stores and at many gas stations across the province…starting this week.
About 4,200 locations will be stocking their shelves on September 5th….including 8 in Exeter and surrounding area.
Some of the new locations in Exeter include Exeter Esso, Exeter Variety, and Pioneer on the Run as well as D&D Variety and Shell in Hensall. Some of the new locations include Exeter Shell, Exeter Variety and Hansen’s Your Independent Grocer, as well as Zurich Hometown Grocer.
Liquor sales are only permitted from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. in these new locations.
The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario also says it will be hiring more staff to step up enforcement in light of this increased availability.
