Today we are taking a look at Heidi Klopp of CedarVilla Farms.
CedarVilla Angus Farms has been part of the local farming community for many years. Paul and Timothy Klopp, a father and son team, represent the fifth and sixth generations of their family to work the land, and they are already teaching the next generation.
The farm is located between Zurich and Lake Huron and specializes in producing beef, pork, and chicken with a focus on sustainable practices that ensure the animals are healthy and well cared for. They buy animals locally and work with small, nearby slaughterhouses to maintain high standards.
With more than a century of experience in raising livestock, the Klopp family has a deep understanding of the meat industry. Although their approach to treating animals kindly has stayed the same over the years, they have adapted to the changes of the modern world, especially in how they reach out to customers.
The Klopp family still sells their products by attending farmers’ markets. During the warmer months, they travel to different markets across Huron County, setting up their stalls in towns like Goderich, Bayfield, Clinton, and Grand Bend.
