Lambton Heritage Museum is excited to host another “Movies at the Museum” PA Day event on Friday, October 11th. This time, they will show the classic hockey film The Mighty Ducks. The movie starts at 1:00 p.m., and families can enjoy free popcorn while watching.
In addition to the film, there will be hockey-themed activities for families, including a photo scavenger hunt through the Canadian Museum of History’s traveling exhibit on hockey, a tabletop hockey game, and the chance to try sports announcing as a hockey commentator.
The Mighty Ducks (1992) tells the story of a struggling lawyer who coaches a team of misfit kids to become champions through teamwork, friendship, and effort. The movie is rated PG and lasts 104 minutes. It includes some coarse language and mild violence.
Admission is free for Lambton County residents in 2024, celebrating Lambton County’s 175th anniversary. To learn more about the hockey exhibit, visit the exhibit page at heritagemuseum.ca.
