Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a resident from Drummond-North Elmsley Township with impaired driving after a traffic complaint on September 14th, in Goderich.
Around 9:00 p.m., a concerned driver reported another vehicle’s erratic driving on Huron Road, heading west into Goderich. Police stopped the vehicle, and after speaking with the driver, a roadside test was conducted, which the driver failed.
The driver was arrested for impaired driving and taken to the Huron OPP detachment in Clinton for further breath tests, which showed readings over twice the legal alcohol limit.
A 58 year old has been charged with driving over the legal limit. His vehicle was impounded for seven days, and his driver’s license was suspended for 90 days.
