Dashwood Produce is the collaborative effort of Krista and Doug Djekic, along with Remy and Anne Knoll. Remy and Anne, retired and seeking a new venture, joined forces with their working son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Krista, to start this fresh produce stand. Four years ago, they began this journey, leveraging their home garden to offer surplus produce for sale.
Dashwood Produce specializes in fresh, local fruits and vegetables, primarily sourced from their garden. They also procure additional produce from nearby farms, ensuring that everything they offer is seasonal and locally grown. Their selection changes with the seasons, featuring items like asparagus in the spring and corn in the summer.
The local community plays a crucial role in their success. Despite recent construction on their main street that diverted traffic, the strong support from local neighbors has been invaluable. This community backing not only helps sustain the business but also fosters a personal connection with customers.
