For the second year, Penny’s of Blyth is holding a Loonie Toonie Auction to support the United Way Perth-Huron (UWPH)’s annual campaign.
The auction is on Saturday, October 19, from 6 pm to 9 pm at the Blyth Arena and Community Centre. Items from over 25 local vendors will be auctioned. Tickets are $5, or $25 if you want dinner from The Pine Café and Bistro. You can get tickets at Penny’s of Blyth on Queen Street or by emailing hello@pennysofblyth.com. The Blyth Lions Club will also run a cash bar.
All money raised will go to the Northern Huron Connection Centre in Wingham, which helps people experiencing homelessness or poverty. The Centre, operated by CMHA Huron Perth, offers support such as mental health and addiction counseling, basic needs like food and showers, and connections to services like legal aid and Ontario Works, helping people find a way out of poverty.
