A 25-year-old resident of South Huron has been charged with impaired driving after a traffic stop in Exeter on December 19th.
Around 11:30 p.m., Huron County OPP stopped a vehicle on Main Street South. Officers found the driver had been drinking. The driver was arrested and taken to the Huron OPP detachment in Clinton, where breath tests showed results over the legal alcohol limit.
A South Huron resident faces a charge of impaired operation with readings over the legal limit. Additional charges were laid under the Highway Traffic Act and the Liquor Licence Control Act.
The vehicle was impounded for seven days, and the driver’s license was suspended for 90 days.
