Lambton’s Creative County Committee has approved 19 projects for funding in 2025 through the Creative County Grant Program, providing a total of $69,275. This program, launched in 2013, supports new arts, culture, and heritage projects that build cultural strength, celebrate Lambton’s identity, and enhance residents’ quality of life. It covers up to 50% of project costs for these initiatives.
The approved projects include funding for various community efforts such as cultural food celebrations, theatre productions, public art murals, book publications, and historical tours. Some notable projects receiving funding are Lambton Cultural Food Days, the 175 Years of Growth initiative by the Moore Agricultural Society, and a photographic memory project on surf and skate culture. Other initiatives include the Inwood 150 Music Festival, Indigenous cultural programming by Theatre Sarnia, and the Village of Oil Springs’ 160th Anniversary celebrations.
Altogether, these grants are expected to leverage an additional $322,152 in local cultural investment by the applicants and their partners in 2025.
The next round of applications will open in fall 2025 for projects happening in 2026.
