
In December 2024, several police units, including the Huron-Perth Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), Stratford Police Service Street Crime Unit, Perth County and Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), as well as the West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), worked together on a property crime investigation in Perth County.
On December 13th, the Huron-Perth CSCU carried out a search at a home on Line 21 in West Perth. During the search, police found a variety of stolen items, including an Artic Cat snowmobile and two snowmobile trailers, valued at an estimated $13,500.
On December 17th, a 29-year-old from Stratford, was arrested and charged with multiple offenses, including possession of stolen property over $5,000, possession of stolen property under $5,000 (three counts), and failing to comply with a probation order (two counts).
On December 29th, a 33-year-old from West Perth, was arrested and charged with similar offenses, including possession of stolen property over $5,000 and possession of stolen property under $5,000 (four counts).
The investigation is ongoing.
