Huron County OPP has charged a 23-year-old Bluewater resident with impaired driving after a traffic stop in Exeter on December 22nd.
Around 9:00 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle on Main Street South in Exeter and found that the driver had been drinking. The driver was arrested and taken to the Huron OPP detachment in Clinton, where breath tests showed results over the legal alcohol limit.
The driver was charged with impaired operation due to alcohol and drugs, operation while impaired with readings over the legal limit, and dangerous operation.
The vehicle was impounded for seven days, and the driver’s license was suspended for 90 days.
