A Snow Squall Watch is in effect for Goderich, Bluewater, and Southern Huron County. Snow squalls are expected on Friday, bringing heavy snowfall with more than 15 cm in some areas. Visibility may also be reduced during periods of heavy snow.
The snow is predicted to start Friday morning and continue into the night, caused by lake effect snow.
Travel conditions could become dangerous due to sudden weather changes, reduced visibility, and snow-covered roads and walkways. Be prepared for challenging travel and slippery surfaces. Give yourself plenty of time if you are heading out on the roads and remember to give plenty of space between vehicles.
