In 2024, Minister of Rural Affairs Lisa Thompson was busy going across the province and finding out the concerns from Ontario’s rural community and what the government can do.
She says just because the calendar has flipped to 2025, the goal of better helping rural residents has not gone away.
Thompson says they doing an audit across government in rural Ontario right now as well and looks forward to seeing those results.
Thompson said that both her and her parliamentary assistant have been traveling across rural Ontario looking to build a strategy and make life better in 2025.
She will continue to work with local municipalities to ensure they have things they need to better succeed in the new year.
