On Saturday, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) issued a food recall warning for several brands of shell eggs due to potential salmonella contamination. The recall affects shell eggs from brands including Compliments, Foremost, Golden Valley, IGA, and Western Family, which may contain a “possible” salmonella contamination.
These products were distributed in British Columbia, Manitoba, and Ontario, but the CFIA also cautioned that they could be circulating in other provinces and territories.
A food safety investigation is ongoing, and officials are working to ensure the affected products are being removed from stores nationwide.
