
Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a Huron East resident after an e-bicycle was stolen in Wingham on January 11th.
Around 6:00 p.m. that evening, Huron County OPP received a call from the bike’s owner, who reported the theft. The owner followed the bike tracks in the snow and found both the bicycle and the suspect, who then ran away on foot. The owner was able to recover the bicycle, and the suspect was later identified and arrested.
A 32-year-old from Huron East, has been charged with theft under $5,000. He was processed and released from custody with a scheduled court appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice.
