The Avon Maitland District School Board (AMDSB) has renamed its adult and continuing education program following changes to its services. The Centre for Employment & Learning no longer provides employment services, leading to a fresh name, logo, and website.
The program is now called the Centre for Education & Learning (CEL), and the new website can be found at amdsb.ca/CEL.
CEL will continue to offer a variety of programs, including English as a Second Language, High School Credit Programs, the Personal Support Worker Program, and Skills Upgrading, both in person and online through the LearningHUB. There will also be continued support for students and parents of children in grades K-12 through xCEL Learning Support, as well as youth programs like Reach for Success.
As part of this transition, CEL locations and hours are changing. Full details can be found at amdsb.ca/CEL. Anyone seeking more information about adult and continuing education can visit the new website.
