Cowbell Brewing Co. is expanding its commitment to sustainability by introducing the EnviroStewards SafeWater Program at its restaurant in Blyth. Cowbell is now taking an extra step to give back by ensuring that every beer served in its restaurant helps provide clean drinking water to communities in need.
Through the “Cup for Cup” program, Cowbell will replenish the water used to brew its beer by purifying the same amount of safe drinking water. Since it takes 3.5 litres of water to produce one litre of Cowbell beer, every two 20-ounce pints purchased will result in 3.5 litres of safe water being supplied through reusable filtration systems. The SafeWater Project focuses on long-term solutions rather than short-term relief. It uses biosand filters made from local materials, which provide clean drinking water without the need for chemicals or electricity. These filters also create jobs and help strengthen the local economy.
With the launch of the SafeWater Program, Cowbell Brewing Co. is reinforcing its mission to protect the environment while supporting global access to clean drinking water.
