Residents of Exeter, Goderich, Bluewater, and Southern Huron County are urged to prepare for hazardous winter conditions as a weather advisory remains in effect through Friday.
Lake effect snow, combined with gusty winds up to 50 km/h, is expected to cause reduced visibility and drifting snow on roadways. An additional 10 cm of snowfall is possible, making travel difficult.
Drivers should expect slippery roads, poor visibility, and challenging conditions on highways, roads, and walkways. Officials advise slowing down, keeping a safe distance from other vehicles, and turning on headlights when visibility is low.
