Hockey fans in Huron County are gearing up for an exciting night of action on the ice as NHL alumni take on the Central Huron volunteer firefighters in the fourth annual charity hockey game. The event, set for Saturday, March 15, at Eastlink Arena in Clinton, promises thrilling competition while raising funds for a great cause—Huron Hospice.
Christopher Walker, Manager of Fund Development and Communications at Huron Hospice, says the event has become a staple in the community, drawing enthusiastic crowds year after year.
Doors open at 6:45 p.m., with puck drop set for 7:30 p.m. Fans are encouraged to secure their tickets in advance, as the game has sold out in previous years.
Christopher noted that this years NHL Alumni lineup will feature many hockey heroes.
Tickets are available for $30 each or four for $100 and can be purchased by calling Christopher at 519-525-7352 or visiting Watson’s Home Hardware in Clinton. They can also be ordered by calling 888-777-9793.
All proceeds from the event will support the essential programs offered by Huron Hospice, which provides end-of-life care, grief support, and bereavement programs for families in need.
Beyond fundraising, the charity game brings the community together in a meaningful way. Walker emphasized that the event isn’t just about hockey—it’s about support, connection, and rallying around a vital cause.
Organizers have hinted at possible lineup changes this year, adding another layer of anticipation to the event.
With top-tier hockey talent, community spirit, and a commitment to an important cause, the NHL Hockey Heroes vs. Central Huron Firefighters charity game is set to be a can’t-miss event. Fans are encouraged to grab their tickets early and get ready for an evening of great hockey and even greater impact.
