The 35th annual Conservation Auction will be held online this year instead of an in-person dinner. The decision was made by the community auction committee, which hopes to continue supporting local projects through this new format.
The shift to an online auction was made because ticket sales for the in-person event were lower than in past years, and fewer raffle and live auction items were donated. Rather than hosting an event that didn’t meet past standards, the committee decided to hold an online auction, expected to take place in May. Details about the auction will be announced soon.
The 50-50 raffle draw will continue, with tickets available for $10 each. If all tickets sell, the winner could take home up to $5,000.
Anyone who already purchased a ticket for the in-person dinner can request a full refund by returning their charitable gift receipt. Alternatively, they can choose to donate the ticket cost and receive a charitable receipt for the full amount.
