
Police from Huron County OPP and other units have arrested a man from Huron East after finding illegal drugs during a search in Vanastra and North York. The investigation began in January 2025 and was a team effort with officers from the Huron-Perth and Grey-Bruce Community Street Crimes Units, the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit, the Emergency Response Team, and the Toronto Police Service.
On March 25, 2025, police carried out search warrants, leading to the discovery of suspected fentanyl and cocaine worth about $12,470. They also seized items like cell phones, packaging materials, and a digital scale, valued at $4,100.
A 41-year-old from Huron East, has been charged with possessing fentanyl and cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. The suspect has been held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Goderich.
