
Huron County OPP has charged a person after an incident on Josephine Street in Wingham, North Huron, on Wednesday, March 19th.
Just after 10:20 p.m., police found damage to a parked and unattended OPP patrol car. Officers found the suspect nearby, but the person ran away. After a short chase, the suspect was caught and arrested. During the investigation, police also discovered that the suspect had moved storm drain covers, which could have been dangerous for drivers and pedestrians.
A 28-year-old from North Huron, has been charged with mischief under $5,000, mischief for interfering with property, and resisting a peace officer. The person was also charged with an offence under the Liquor Licence Control Act (LLCA).
