
The Huron County Food Bank Distribution Centre is saying a heartfelt goodbye to its Executive Director, Mary Ellen Zielman, as she retires after more than 20 years of dedicated service. Her leadership and passion for helping those in need have shaped the organization into a vital resource for food banks and meal programs across Huron County and beyond.
Under her guidance, HCFBDC grew from a small grassroots effort into a lifeline for countless individuals and families. Her unwavering commitment and perseverance have left a lasting impact, and the organization is deeply grateful for her years of hard work.
As HCFBDC moves forward, the Board of Directors assures the community that operations will continue without interruption. Volunteers, sponsors, and donors have always been the heart of the organization, and their support remains essential. While transitions can bring uncertainty, the Board is committed to keeping everyone informed and engaged.
The search for a new Executive Director is already underway, with a focus on finding a leader who shares the organization’s values of compassion, integrity, and service. As the demand for food assistance continues to rise, HCFBDC remains dedicated to its mission, ensuring that no one in the community goes hungry.
