Lambton Heritage Museum is inviting families to a special “Wildlife Encounter: Birds of Prey” event on the next PA Day, Friday, April 4th. This event, held in partnership with Wild Ontario, will give visitors the chance to see birds of prey like hawks and owls up close.
From 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., visitors can meet live birds and talk with their handlers to learn more about the important role these birds play in Ontario’s environment. The event is great for all ages and offers a unique way to learn about these fascinating creatures.
Wild Ontario, a program from the University of Guelph, has been working since 2010 to care for non-releasable birds like owls, kestrels, hawks, and vultures. These birds help teach people about wildlife and nature. Wild Ontario last visited Lambton Heritage Museum in Fall 2022 with a similar program.
Admission costs $5 for adults, $4 for seniors (65+) and students, $3 for children, and is free for children aged three and under. For more information, visit the event page on the Lambton Heritage Museum’s website.
