A local hockey talent is getting national attention.
Carson Harmer, who plays for the Saginaw Spirit in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), has been named to the NHL Central Scouting final list for the 2025 NHL Draft, listed 107 overall of the North American Skaters list. Harmer, a St. Mary’s native, had a strong season with the Spirit, showing off his skills as a forward.
During the 2024-25 regular season, Harmer played in 68 games for Saginaw, scoring 23 goals and adding 27 assists for a total of 50 points.
In the playoffs, he continued to contribute, picking up 2 goals and 1 assist in 5 games.
