The water levels in Lake Huron remain a big concern as records have been broken in each month of 2020 so far.
And with expected rain to hit the region for the next number of days, the problem isn’t going away soon.
According to reports the water level in Huron-Michigan reached the highest level for the month of March since 1918, when tracking began.
The lake recorded 91 centimetres above the average of the month, and was 36 cm higher than the levels in 2019.
That led to the April levels being 95 cm above their typical average at the start of the month.
