Huron Shores Hospice has received a donation worth over 5 thousand dollars ($5,423.10) from a Kincardine woman who has been dedicating her time to make masks during the pandemic.
Shirley Purdie has asked residents interested in a mask to make a donation to Huron Shores Hospice.
Her masks have traveled across the nation and even as far as Europe and Great Britain.
Co-Chair of Huron Shores Hospice, Cheryl Cottrill, says they are honoured to receive this donation, especially at a time where their fundraisers have been cancelled. Resulting in what she predicts to be a greater than 50% loss in revenue this year.
For a mask you can either email Ginny@bmts.com or private message her on Facebook.
Purdie will continue to make donations to Huron Shores Hospice.
This month is the Great Canadian Giving Challenge at the hospice.
NPX Innovation has pledged to match donations up to a total contribution of $7000.
