A new pilot project in South Huron is getting funding from the United Way and South Huron council.
During Monday night’s council meeting there was a presentation by the United Way along with Andrea Loohuizen from Noah’s Ark and the Community Table about a new program called the Compassion Centre.
Andrea explains that the program will help those in need.
Loohuizen says the community can help in a number of ways.
She adds the program will be a judgement free zone.
The United Way has already pledge $10 thousand towards the project, which looks to launch in the fall.
South Huron council voted to match the $10 thousand in support of the project.
