South Huron District High School’s Environmental Science course has some student organizing an beach, shoreline, park or anywhere litter can be found clean up as a part of a class assignment.
The group, which includes local Rachel Saunders is calling upon the community to join them the week of June 7th – 11th for a clean up.
As the pandemic does not allow for the group to organize one big community clean up, Saunders says that they are just hoping to get the community involved in anyway they can.
The group is encouraging anyone who participates to use reusable garbage bag, bring gloves to keep yourself safe, and take some photos and send them to the group either over email or on instagram.
If you participate in the clean up efforts, send pictures to the group over email at gb.sh.cleanup21@gmail.com or over instagram at @gbshcleanup21
Also if you participate, be sure to let the group know where you cleaned up so that they can mark it down on their map, that will be shared.
