A Level 1 Low Water Advisory has been issued for the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority watershed.
The decision was made by the ABCA Water Response Team due to current watershed conditions, a relatively dry start to July, and little precipitation in the forecast.
A level one advisory calls on the community to voluntarily reduce water use by 10 percent.
The ABCA could call for additional measures including a level 2 advisory which sees a voluntary 20 percent reduction or a level 3 which would include mandatory water restrictions.
