It was a gloomy night at Parkhill for the All Candidates meeting at the North Middlesex Community Centre put on by the Parkhill Lion’s Club, but residents walked away yesterday feeling content with who their voting for.
The Mayors seat, Deputy Mayor, Wards 3, 4 and 5 seats were automatically acclaimed. However, Ward 1 and 2 had a good ol’ friendly debate.
myFM asked you, the voter, what issues are present in North Middlesex.
Brian Ropp was acclaimed Mayor, Paul Hodgins was acclaimed Deputy Mayor, Charles Daigle was acclaimed ward 3 councilor, John Keogh was acclaimed ward 4 councilor and Adrian Cornelissen was acclaimed ward 5 councilor.
Parkhill Lion’s member Wilson Brock was the emcee for the night. Candidates were first asked what their biggest challenge would be for the next 4 years if they are elected. They all agreed on infrastructure, affordability and growth.
