Saving the environment can benefit you greatly.
The Eco Exeter Club at the South Huron District High School is putting on ‘Bring your own Mug Day’ for the third time.
Grade 12 students Liza Papple and Molly Towton, say the group likes to help make eco-friendly changes in the community.
On March 31st, you can bring any mug of any size to the White Squirrel Bakery for a free drink. Drinks will be served from 11 am to 1 pm.
If you bring a mug, you will also be entered to win a prize basket of eco-friendly items.
Molly Towton, Vice President of Events for Eco Exeter, says this is a great way to make a small eco-friendly change in your life.
Liza Papple, Vice President of Communications for Eco Exeter, says you’ll even be entered into a draw for making the small change.
Bring a Mug Day was previously done at Tim Hortons. The idea was that they couldn’t get a huge company to change their packaging, but they could change the habits of the consumer.
