90.5 myFM’s highly anticipated “All Hands on Deck Food Drive” is set to return on August 17, and excitement is building as local residents and businesses gear up to participate.
Mary Ellen Zielman, the Executive Director of the Huron County Food Bank Distribution Centre said they’re honoured to be the recipients once again,
Zielman highlighted how the drive not only brought different communities together but also provided encouragement and much-needed support to those facing challenging circumstances.
She said she’s optimistic about exceeding last year’s achievements.
Discussing the consistent need for food assistance, Zielman explained the challenges faced during the summer months.
August holds particular importance for the food drive, as it coincides with the preparations for children going back to school in September. Ensuring families have access to nutritious food before the academic year starts can alleviate some of the financial burdens they might face.
If you’re interested in participating in this inspiring event, mark your calendars for August 17 and join 90.5 myFM’s All Hands on Deck Food Drive.
Together, with the guidance of Mary Ellen Zielman and the Huron County Food Bank Distribution Centre, we can make a difference and ensure that no one in our community goes hungry.
