This year, Huron Hospice’s No Place Like Home Telethon promises to be bigger and better than ever before, with a live broadcast and an impressive lineup of local talent.
The telethon was initially conceptualized as a virtual gathering during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic.
On Saturday, September 23rd, for the first time, the No Place Like Home Telethon will be live from the Kingsbridge Centre.
Christopher Walker, Manager of Fund Development at Huron Hospice said the event is a celebration of community,
Attendees will experience the electrifying performances of three extraordinary local groups: Josh Geddis, Steve Dawe, and Jess Langan; Grant McMillan; and Amanda McClure and Tom Burke.
Walker said that the event encapsulates the essence of their dedication to the community – it’s not just about raising funds; it’s a celebration of the remarkable local talent that brings pride to the entire region.
The goal for this year’s telethon is to raise $100,000. The community has consistently shown tremendous support in the past, and the organizers hope that this year will surpass all expectations,
Tickets for the telethon are priced at $50, and attendees have the convenience of purchasing them online or by contacting Chris at 519-525-7352. As an added perk, a complimentary shuttle service will be available from various locations, including Bayfield, Goderich, Seaforth, Clinton, Brussels, and Blyth.
