The South Huron Chamber of Commerce Gala on Thursday evening (October 19), shone a spotlight on local businesses and individuals who have made contributions to the community.
The event, a reflection of South Huron’s vibrant business and community spirit, was emceed by the charismatic James Eddington, who counts himself among business owners in the community.
Keynote speaker Mac Voisin, owner of the White Squirrel Golf Club, shared his background as an entrepreneur, founding M&M Meat Shops alongside his brother in Kitchener in 2003.
The evening was marked by the announcement of several well-deserved winners in various categories:
- Business of the Year Under 15 Employees – Jolt Fitness
- Business of the Year Over 15 Employees – Team Reid McDonald’s
- Entrepreneur of the Year – Greg Dodds (Coldwell Banker and Don Flight Realty)
- Customer Experience – Exeter Guardian Pharmacy, Pharmacy Team
- Community Advancement – South Huron Connection Centre
- Youth Excellence – Brianna Steckle
- Citizen of the Year – Joanne Bowen
- Lifetime Achievement – Kim McLean
The judges had their work cut out for them choosing winners in categories filled with amazing contributors to the community, said Eddington.
The South Huron Chamber of Commerce Gala not only celebrated these remarkable winners but also underscored the spirit of unity, excellence, and community engagement that defines South Huron. Congratulations to all the winners and thank you for your outstanding contributions!
