In a promising development for year round residents in Grand Bend, the Birch Bark Trailer Park is set to unveil its brand-new year-round indoor pool facility.
Jen and Randy Glazier, the driving force behind this exciting project, are eager to share this addition with the community.
Historically, Birch Bark Trailer Park offered a pool that was accessible only during the summer months, from May to mid-September. The decision to transition to a year-round pool was prompted by the deteriorating condition of the existing liner and coverall, which necessitated replacement.
Randy says that the response from the community has been overwhelmingly positive, with residents eagerly anticipating the pool’s opening.
Randy and Jen are hosting open houses at the pool every Saturday afternoon in November, from 1 to 4 pm, giving the public an opportunity to explore the new facility and express their interest.
Jen highlighted the importance of offering activities during the winter months, addressing the needs of the older population who tend to stay in the area. The indoor pool will provide a variety of classes and activities, filling a void in the community during the colder seasons.
While no official opening date has been set, the Glaziers are enthusiastic about the project’s progress and the positive impact it will have on both Birch Bark Trailer Park and the broader community. Their vision for a year-round pool is not just about amenities; it’s about giving back to the community and creating a vibrant, inclusive space for all to enjoy.
