Todd Mellin, the Public Education Lead at Lambton Shores Fire Department, shed some light on the responsible use of extension cords.
As the festive season approaches, Mellin urged individuals to prioritize safety, highlighting the risks associated with overloading circuits and improper use of extension cords.
Mellin’s key message was clear: extension cords are a temporary solution. If additional outlets are needed, he strongly recommended having them installed by a licensed electrician.
