Grand Bend’s community is invited to the Huron Shores United Church’s upcoming Spring Free Store event, where individuals and families can find a variety of items without any cost attached.
The Spring Free Store will offer a diverse selection of seasonal clothing suitable for all ages, along with household items and more. Attendees are encouraged to browse the collection and take what they can use, all at no charge.
Joanne Berry, a member of Huron Shores United Church says the Free Store started when one of the members ran into a free store where you just come, no money, yard sale type organization – nothing is marked!
Berry shares all the details about this years spring event.

Located at 25 Main Street in Grand Bend, the Spring Free Store will operate today, (May 3rd) from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM, and on Saturday,(May 4th) from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The event aims to provide a welcoming and accessible opportunity for the community to acquire needed items while fostering a spirit of generosity and sharing.
Organizers of the event Berry and Ruth Ann Eagleson express their enthusiasm for welcoming everyone to participate in this initiative aimed at supporting individuals and families in the local area and Berry says there is a very good reason they continue to do it year after year.
In addition to helping the community, the free stores also help reduce waste from landfills.
