The Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance (HPHA) announced the successful containment of the gastrointestinal outbreak at Seaforth Community Hospital this morning. Initiated on April 27, the outbreak, attributed to Norovirus, has been declared over.
Erica Jensen, Manager of Quality, Patient Safety, and Infection Control at HPHA, commended the dedication of the healthcare team in managing the situation. She emphasized the importance of handwashing in preventing illness transmission and urged visitors to postpone their visits if feeling unwell.
