South Huron Soccer made a presentation to council last Monday …hoping for council’s support as their soccer programs continue to GROW.
The club had over 200 players last year and this year, they’re up to over 300 …and have a small waiting list.
Danielle Zehr made this ask to council…on behalf of the soccer club.
She was accompanied by over a dozen soccer players as she spoke to council…highlighting the fact the provinc will be investing 200 million dollars over the next three years to support recreational infrastructure.
She said that the registration numbers spoke for themselves – their programming is in high demand.
Zehr says the South Huron Soccer Board has also created a fundraising campaign that will start later this month.
Council will discuss the issue at its next meeting.
