The Ontario Turtle Conservation Centre is looking for some TURTLE TAXI DRIVERS…to help injured turtles get to a centre for special care.
Lisa Browning is their Education Coordinator.
People who FIND injured turtles can’t always get them to Peterborough for care, so drivers who can help are asked to email volunteer@ontarioturtle.ca to get more information.
Browning says there’s a great need right now.
It’s not even that hard to transport an injured turtle…you just need a dry container, maybe with a towel to keep the turtle comfy.
