The Alice Munro Branch in Wingham is hosting a Halloween Costume Swap on Saturday, October 5th, giving families a chance to trade in old costumes and pick out new ones, just in time for the spooky season. This event is a fun and eco-friendly way to give gently-used costumes a new life and save money on Halloween attire.
Here’s how it works: From September 27th to October 4th, families can drop off their gently-used Halloween costumes at the library during regular hours. In return, they will receive a special ticket granting early access to the costume swap on October 5th. Ticket holders can browse the costumes from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., ensuring first pick of the available selections.
After 11:30 a.m., the event opens to the general public, who are welcome to browse and choose from the remaining costumes until 3:00 p.m. Even if you haven’t dropped off a costume, you can still join in on the fun and find a new look for Halloween.
The Costume Swap is a great opportunity to recycle Halloween costumes and make the holiday more affordable and sustainable for families. Don’t miss out on this chance to get creative, save some money, and have fun while preparing for Halloween!
