Four members of the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club and one member of the Red Devils Motorcycle Club have been charged with robbery after a September 2024 incident in Cambridge. The investigation also led to the seizure of firearms, ammunition, and other prohibited items.
OPP Biker Enforcement Unit, working with the Cambridge OPP and Waterloo Regional Police, began investigating after a robbery on September 21. On October 17, police searched properties in Cambridge and Kitchener, and further searches were conducted a week later in Seaforth and Whitby.
Police recovered 17 firearms, ammunition, and a “get back whip,” a prohibited device. They also found stolen property, cell phones, unknown pills, and firearm licenses belonging to two Hells Angels members. Three Hells Angels vests were also seized during the searches.
In total, 14 charges were laid against five individuals. Four of them were arrested and later released, with court appearances scheduled for November 26 in Kitchener. One person remains at large, and a warrant has been issued for their arrest. One of the four arrested was a 36 year old from Seaforth.
Police are encouraging anyone with information about illegal activities involving outlaw motorcycle gangs to contact the OPP or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
