A late-night call about a school bus stuck on Kinburn Line took an unexpected turn in Central Huron.
Huron County OPP officers responded on December 23rd, around 10:45 p.m., after reports of a school bus blocking traffic. Upon arriving, police discovered the driver’s ability to operate a vehicle was impaired. Investigators found that the driver had attempted to drive three different vehicles that night, getting all of them, including the school bus, stuck in the snow.
The driver, a 52-year-old from Central Huron, was arrested and taken to the Perth County OPP detachment in Listowel. There, a Drug Recognition Expert confirmed impairment. The driver was charged with impaired operation involving alcohol and drugs.
